Retro Red

Hello to all the lovely ladies reading this! How have you been? Hope everyone is enjoying a great summer thus far. I cannot even BELIEVE that we are already into the month of July!!! Where does the time go?  I've been enjoying a lovely season of BBQ, beach time, and some great weekend getaways.

On the shopping front, I've been TRYING to be good. I haven't really splurged too much on new items for the summer.  Right now, I am just trying to enjoy and make the most of what I currently own.  However, this doesn't mean that I don't still lust after the occasional item here and there!:)

For example, I am seriously crushing on this Marc by Marc Jacobs Mimi CDC dress in the Lobster Red shade. It's crazy expensive, but I simply adore it! It has such a great, retro feel to it, plus the color is gorgeous and I love the way it falls and drapes on the model. I'd have to hem this baby a few inches if I decide to buy it, though, as it's 45.5 inches long and would be pretty school marmish on me at the current length (seeing as I'm only 5'5").

What do you think, ladies, isn't it lovely?

    ooh, that`s beautiful! I love that colour too. heh...come on, embrace the long hemlines, baby! what are ya, chicken? ;)

    This is a great year-round piece, I`d say. Interestingly, I have a jersey h&m dress from 4 or 5 years ago that is almost identical, but navy. I always feel like these fast fashion joints sometimes `screw up`and make really good timeless pieces!

    I love this dress - you should get it... and I wanna get it now! The length might be OK depending on how full the skirt is IRL. The color will look stupendous against your skin.... I say you should grab this one... Cheers!

    I love that color! I think it would look really pretty for summer.

    i also HAD to comment on those shoes you posted about---AMAZING!! i love them for parties! i would definitely try them. they would look so fierce with a blazer.
