Lovely New Anthropologie Items

Good evening, ladies, hope all is well! I was pretty excited to log onto Anthropologie's website today and see so many new pretties.:) Gorgeous dresses, cozy sweaters, beautiful coats...I just LOVE fall clothing! Thought I'd share some of my favorites from the latest collection.

Love this beautiful, ethereal dress. What an unusual shade of green! Can't wait to try this on.

This dark gray dress features to-die-for beautiful embroidery. Yes, there are some fit issues (as evidenced in many blog reviews), but I plan to snap this one up on sale and run, run, run to my wonderful tailor to make this piece perfect. I know I would seriously regret passing this one up.

So excited to see this sweater coat in such a vivid, gorgeous shade of red.

Simply adore the lovely pink shade and huge flowers on this beauty. Wendi Reed comes through with another wonderful sweater for fall.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Plenty by Tracy Reese jacket that I featured in an earlier blog post. This is such an amazingly pretty coat! The details are outstanding, from the gorgeous embroidery to the faux fur collar and cute black buttons. It's pretty expensive, so I'm a bit hesitant to snap this one up, but it's so gosh darn pretty! Not sure how versatile it would be for daily use, though, so I'm going to have to think about it for awhile longer.

Anthropologie's November catalog truly offers something for just about everyone. The garments feature bold pops of color, floral appliques, intricate embroidery, and flat-out gorgeous style.

What are your favorite new items?

TUESDAY FASHION FIND

Hey all! Just checking in to share another fabulous fashion find with all of my favorite readers.:)

Seriously, girls, HOW ADORABLE is this coat from ModCloth??? I am completely in love with this sweet little thing. It reminds me a lot of Anthropologie's Pearl Overcoat by Elevenses that I missed out on last year.

Gumdrop Detective Coat @ ModCloth.com

Everything about this coat is pure perfection. I adore the lace details adorning the waistline, and the lining is super cute, as well.

The only thing stopping me from bringing this beauty home is the hefty price tag. Since this is such a lightweight coat, I just can't justify spending close to $200 on a piece that can't be worn for another 6+ months. For those of you who reside in a warmer climate, this could be a perfect addition to your wardrobe.

For comparison, here is the Elevenses Pearl Overcoat that I so desperately need and want in my life. Why, oh why did I pass this up last year?

What do you think, ladies, are you loving the ModCloth coat as much as I am?

Vintage Chanel

Good morning, ladies, how are you doing today? I am absolutely exhausted and gulping down a ton of coffee, trying to plod my way through another thrilling Monday. Had a great weekend, though, so I really can't complain TOO much...if only it were just a bit longer.

I did a bunch of window shopping on Sunday, but wasn't able to bring anything home with me. Zara had some super cute coats and dresses, though, so I may head over there on Friday after I get some $$$$ in that bank account of mine. Until then, it's browsing only for this girl.

I've also been looking at a lot of lovely handbags. I'm seriously in love with Chanel bags and drool every time I see a beautiful blogger photographed with one dangling off her arm. I'm definitely not in a position to run over to the store and pick up a brand new version, but I've been looking into luxury online sites that offer AUTHENTIC vintage bags. I'm seriously lusting after this Vintage 2.55 Classic Double Flap, but even the used bag price is exorbitant.

What do you girls think, is this one worth considering? It's such a classic, timeless bag that will go with anything and everything, plus still be stylish year after year.
*This is the exact bag I'm looking to buy. I've verified that the dealer is "the real deal" and this bag is definitely authentic.

If I Was A Rich Girl...

Good afternoon, ladies, hope you are all enjoying a lovely Saturday. After a spectacular brunch with the girls, I'm back home to chill for awhile before getting ready to head out for a fun night on the town.

Those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile now have probably realized that I have a pretty major obsession with coats. I adore them every bit as much as an amazing handbag or that perfect new pair of shoes, so I am constantly keeping my eyes peeled for an incredible piece of outerwear to add to my collection.

Many of you are probably familiar with Mackage coats, but for those of you who aren't, let me introduce you to this spectacular (but expensive) Canadian line of outerwear. Based out of Montreal, this label offers a luxurious array of wool, leather, trench, and puffy down coats at a pretty high price point. Definitely not for the average consumer, but the fit, tailoring, and attention to detail on all of their coats is very impressive. Visit their website here to take a look and be prepared to drool over these beauties. Sigh, if was a rich girl, I'd be purchasing several of these coats to help me brave the long, cold East Coast winter that looms ahead.

In particular, I really adore the Leigh coat in this gorgeous shade of camel, which I think would look great with my light hair. The asymmetrical collar and brown leather details really add a nice touch to this beauty, and the tailoring is impeccable.

Okay, girls, enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back shortly with more great fashion finds to share.

I THINK I NEED THIS...

Hey girls, Happy Friday! Whew, another exhausting work week has finally ended and I, for one, couldn't be happier. Anyone have fun plans for their weekend? I'm meeting up with one of my readers on Sunday for a little shopping at Anthropologie, and I can't wait! I love being able to connect with like-minded, Anthro-loving peeps.:)

Speaking of Anthropologie, I am totally crushing on the new Easy-As-Pie Dress by Edme & Esyllte. At least, I think I am, because as we all know, sometimes the dress looks better on the website than it does in person. Anyone see this in real life yet????

I love the color and pattern on the skirt, but am a bit concerned that the top may be too big and baggy. Guess I'll have to stalk the store until it arrives. The product description says that the skirt material is corduroy, so that can either be good or bad. I hope I don't end up looking like a rejected piece of 70's furniture, LOL.

What item(s) are catching your eye these days?

Back it Went...

Hey ladies, how are you? Did anyone bring home any goodies from the Anthropologie sale today? I had to sit this one out, but there were some items that seriously tempted my wallet, that's for sure. Sigh, we can't have everything, I suppose.

On another note, I recently purchased a quirky little watch from Anthro after seeing it on the lovely Kim from Anthroholic. I couldn't find it at my local store, so I made the mistake of ordering it online and was dismayed to note that it arrived in pieces. It seriously looked like the mail truck ran over the box or something, and the delicate little flower was chipped in several places.

Modern Master Watch (as shown in one piece, LOL)

Aside from the obvious damage, I wasn't as bowled over with the look of the watch in person, and at approx $70 with shipping & handling, I needed to be impressed. So, back it went and now I have a $70 credit on my card. What to buy, what to buy...

Hope you girls made out well if you hit the sale today. Let me know what you bought, as it may inspire me to make a late night purchase.;)

Latest Fashion Discoveries @ Talbots

Hey guys, how have you been? Hope you're all enjoying another great weekend. Sorry I've been absent for the past week, but I've had some SERIOUS computer issues that had to be sorted out. I'm now back in action and can't wait to catch up on all the blogs that I've missed!

I've spent my lovely Sunday morning relaxing and surfing online for more pretty items to share with everyone. I'll confess that I've been on a bit of a shopping hiatus, as my finances are a bit low until the end of the month, but hey, that doesn't mean a girl can't look around, right? Right!

I spent some time on the Talbots website this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to see how this store, once geared for the middle-aged career woman, has really kicked things up a few notches and broadened their market to include younger gals like myself. They honestly had some REALLY cute items! Take a look at some of these beauties.

I am just loving this gorgeous silk rosette skirt. It comes in 2 shades, black and a lovely soft pink. Unfortunately, at $179, it's also super pricey, but I am definitely admiring it from afar.

Next up is this gorgeous lace pencil skirt, featuring delicate beading scattered throughout the fabric. So pretty.:)

There's nothing like a sleek leather jacket to pull together that perfect fall ensemble, and this one is just lovely. I adore the fit and design, and the leather looks so soft and buttery. I could pair this with a ruffled skirt or a nice pair of slacks for a chic everyday look.

I also came across some lovely accessories at Talbot's. Who knew? Check out these beautiful bags.

Hope you ladies enjoyed these fashion finds. Have a great afternoon!

Crimson Cuties

Good evening, girls, how's everyone doing tonight??? Hump Day is drawing to a close, and I'm gearing up for a nice, relaxing 3 day weekend in just 2 more work days! Thank goodness for Columbus Day!:)

On the fashion front today, I came across a bunch of beautiful new items on the Tracy Reese website. Specifically, these are recent offerings from her Plenty by Tracy Reese line, and are they ever gorgeous! I am such a big fan of all things red, and while I appreciate the fact that this color is not for everyone, I happen to adore it. It's so lovely, such a deep, beautiful shade of red with just a hint of a blue undertone. This color is found throughout the entire fall collection, from coats to tops to dresses. LOVE!

How amazing is this coat? Plenty coats have such incredible details and workmanship. Should I be buying this coat or the Soia & Kyo blue number that I asked everyone about? Hmmmmm....

I love this color palette on the model. The rich red looks incredible against her porcelain complexion. I adore the cascading ruffles down the front of this top, too.

Another gorgeous dress in an amazing color. Loving the floral details at the shoulder, and the fabric textures are lovely, featuring a wonderful mix of plush velvet and floaty chiffon.

Last, but not least is this beautiful jersey dress. Love the pattern and design, but this is almost identical in style to the Blue Cosmetic Spots Dress that I purchased last month.

Okay, fashionistas, hope you enjoyed this latest roundup. See anything that you like?

Outfit Inspiration

Hello out there, lovely ladies! Hope you're having a great week so far!

Anyone get any goodies at Anthropologie's sale today? I'm sitting this one out, as the funds are looking a little low these days, but do tell if you brought home something amazing!

On another fashion note, I know that most, if not all of us gain a lot of fashion inspiration by seeing something beautiful and amazing on a celebrity. We can't always afford what they're wearing, but isn't it fun to try to recreate the same look in a budget-friendly way? This is what happened to me recently after I came across photos of Taylor Swift wearing this drop dead gorgeous pirate blouse by Roberto Cavalli.

Priced at a whopping $1,015, there is no way that THIS girl is going to be bringing this baby home, but I really fell in love with the look and was motivated to find something much (MUCH! MUCH!) cheaper that would be somewhat similar in style.

After scoping out several possibilities, I came across this gorgeous tunic from Guess by Marciano and immediately fell in love. It may not have the intricate details of the Cavalli version, but it's still really beautiful. The cinched sleeves and soft neutral shade give this a similar look and feel to Taylor's pricier version above.

I can't wait for this to arrive in the mail!

Enjoy your evening, girls, and I'll be back in a jiffy to discuss more fashion finds!

TGIF and some new purchases!

Hey there, ladies, HAPPY FRIDAY to all! Whew, what a killer week at work. I cannot even begin to tell you how HAPPY I am to have a few days to chill out and relax. Anyone have any fun weekend plans???

On a totally different topic, with fall officially kicked into gear, I've been scouring the stores for some new beauties to add to my closet, but I've been generally underwhelmed by many of the latest offerings, including most of the newer items at Anthropologie. Now, I suppose this is fantastic for my wallet, but being the shopping nut that I am, I've been feeling super antsy lately.

Well, today I broke down...I just couldn't resist ordering these gorgeous Anthro items online. If you've been reading my blog for a little while, you'll remember that I tried on this skirt about a month ago and it was love at first sight. I'm SUPER excited about the gorgeous rust color sweater dress, too. It looks so cozy, and hello, the ruffles are **divine**! Such a cute twist on what could otherwise be a boring, plain little garment. I can't wait to get my hands on these! Will be sure to post pics upon arrival.

So much for exercising restraint with the ol' budget, huh??? Not to mention the fact that there's more to the story. I ALSO ordered a beautiful pair of Nine West boots in a gorgeous cognac shade. I can easily pair these with so many cute dresses in my closet, and that chunky heel should be great for my daily commute along the streets of Manhattan.

Whew, now I'm officially exhausted. Going to jump off now to grab some dinner with the boyfriend. Hope you have a fantastic Friday night!
