Hello to all of my lovely readers! I hope you're having a fantastic weekend so far! I'm about to head out into the gorgeous summer sun to run a bunch of errands, but I wanted to drop by and say hello!:)
As I've mentioned in earlier posts, I'm really trying hard to budget myself better. I've been spending crazy amounts of money on all those pretty little summer dresses that are tempting me left and right, but I'm putting myself on lock down and looking ahead to fall fashion.:) I've gone about 2 weeks without buying anything, and I'm really starting to feel antsy. Readers, it SUCKS having to say no to all those goodies out there!
So, what do I do? Well, I pretty much stay out of the stores in general, a nearly impossible feat in NYC, where I face constant temptation on every other block, and I shift my focus over to FOOD! Chocolate always makes me feel better.:)
Speaking of chocolate and pretty things, I thought I'd share these lovely, whimsical images with you. Chocoholics will surely appreciate these!!! There's a company in Michigan (where I used to live) called Sweet Expressions Chocolate that creates these wonderful, custom-made delicacies and they are so amazing! You can check this place out here.
(All of the images below are from their company website.)
Seriously, how cute is this chocolate slipper?
Here are some other heavenly chocolate creations...Don't you just love eye candy???
Well, girls, gotta be running out. Don't you worry, I certainly HAVE NOT given up on shopping and fashion...just taking a little break to build up some green in the bank account.
Looking forward to a great week and hopefully, some lovely new arrivals on Anthropologie's website!!!!

I admire (and am quite jealous of) your ability to be so good at not spending. I myself tried and lasted 2 weeks. I must say, if you can't shop for pretty little dresses, food, and especially chocolate, will sure help ease the frustration! Good luck with your ban and budget!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gemma, it is sooooooooo tough for me. It's really sad, but I'm used to buying something at least once a week! I want to make a bunch of purchases at the end of July (several of the new fall Anthro dresses/sweaters), so I have to be good until then.
ReplyDeleteThat's really good, Chrissy. I can't wait to see what you get at the end of July then! I really want the Alice in Autumn sweatercoat in the purple motif. Ahhh...I think I might do the same thing as you, hold off until then so I can get the sweatercoat.
ReplyDeleteCindi, I have a very long list of things that I must have for fall, lol. I really need the Manor Gates and Violet Gloaming dresses, still need that Vagabond Dress in blue, the blue Curlytop Cardi, the Arbor Vines cardi, and now I'm looking again at the Intelligencer coat...
ReplyDeleteSo, you can see why I need to save up, lol.
