New Anthropologie purchase

Good afternoon, lovely ladies, hope your week flew by! It's finally Friday, thank God! Even better, I am off of work today AND will get to enjoy a holiday on Monday (President's Day in the U.S.), so I am ecstatic! Anyone have any fabulous weekend plans that they'd care to share?

To top things off, it is currently *65* degrees here in NYC. We're getting a brief sneak peek of springtime, so I'm heading out shortly to squeeze as much warmth and sunlight into my winter-weary bones as possible.

Before I run out, I thought I'd share a beautiful new purchase with all of you. As you know, Anthropologie is just about my favorite store on the planet, but lately, their offerings have been disappointing me. When I'm feeling uninspired, I always turn to Ebay to scope out some new possibilities, and I came across an auction for this gorgeous Anthro ivory sweater dress by Viola. I don't recall seeing this in stores or in a catalog, so I have no clue as to what year this item came out, but it was love at first sight. The auction sure wasn't cheap, but it ended in my favor and I can't wait to get this!

Well, I can hardly stand sitting inside this little apartment, so I'm off to enjoy this amazing, albeit short-lived spring weather we're experiencing! Have a wonderful day, everyone!

  1. Oh wow, that dress is gorgeous Chrissy!!! I'll try to some research in my little Anthro library and see if I can't find the year and name for you. I can't wait to see it on you!

  2. Kim, isn't it to die for???? I can't WAIT to get it! Yes, please, if you can find out when it was made, because I sure as hell do NOT remember it and can't figure out how I missed it.

  3. Chrissy - That dress is so pretty! I am stoked to see it on you. While you are enjoying the "faux spring", we are freezing here in SF Bay Area. It is rainy and cold (for us that is anything below 50F). It makes me happy to read your blog and hear about NYC. That is a place I would like to live for a year or two to get to know "her". Cheers! xoxo

  4. Hey Sherry, our faux spring has sadly ended, LOL. Back to 30-something degrees today, but it was fun while it lasted.

And yes, I highly recommend living in NYC at least once in your life!:)
