My Pretty New Dress :)

Hi readers, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend! I've been having a great time! I capped it all off with a trip to Anthropologie today, where I picked up the long-awaited Violet Gloaming Dress for myself as an early birthday gift. Despite mixed reviews in the blogosphere, I absolutely love it!!!!

For reference, I went with a size 2. The zero fit, as well, but was a lot tighter in the bust and I found the 2 to be better overall.

Here are a few pics for you guys! Excuse the wrinkles, as we all know how Anthro doesn't like to steam their garments before displaying them on the floor!!!! I know that some of you are waiting for this to hit the sales rack, but I just couldn't help myself. The colors are just spectacular...I felt like a walking painting!:)

    Thanks guys! It felt SO good to break my shopping ban...I also ordered the blue Curlytop Cardi and the Babergh Dress online!:) I passed on the Manor Gates Dress, as it didn't wow me in person, and I still need to get my hands on that Precious Materials Cardi, but my wallet says no more.

    Sarah, thanks!:) As for the bday coupon, I'm not sure, because I'm waiting for mine, as well. Someone told me that it's not even guaranteed, but I will call CS today and post back the answer.

    I think you look great in the dress, Chrissy, made even better because you love the piece and it shows in the pics.

    As for Sarah's Q - Roxy from Effortless Anthro mentioned in a previous post that the b-day coupons are done on a lottery so you're not guaranteed to receive one. But I also believe if you call CS about it, they will send one to you.

    Lovely dress on you. Chrissy, what size did you end up getting in the Babergh? Trying to figure out the sizing and there are no blog reviews yet for that one!

    Heidi, I ordered a 2 in the Babergh, because the skirt looks narrow in the catalog shot. The top will likely be loose, but I can remedy that with my tailor, if needed.
