Crimson Cuties

Good evening, girls, how's everyone doing tonight??? Hump Day is drawing to a close, and I'm gearing up for a nice, relaxing 3 day weekend in just 2 more work days! Thank goodness for Columbus Day!:)

On the fashion front today, I came across a bunch of beautiful new items on the Tracy Reese website. Specifically, these are recent offerings from her Plenty by Tracy Reese line, and are they ever gorgeous! I am such a big fan of all things red, and while I appreciate the fact that this color is not for everyone, I happen to adore it. It's so lovely, such a deep, beautiful shade of red with just a hint of a blue undertone. This color is found throughout the entire fall collection, from coats to tops to dresses. LOVE!

How amazing is this coat? Plenty coats have such incredible details and workmanship. Should I be buying this coat or the Soia & Kyo blue number that I asked everyone about? Hmmmmm....

I love this color palette on the model. The rich red looks incredible against her porcelain complexion. I adore the cascading ruffles down the front of this top, too.

Another gorgeous dress in an amazing color. Loving the floral details at the shoulder, and the fabric textures are lovely, featuring a wonderful mix of plush velvet and floaty chiffon.

Last, but not least is this beautiful jersey dress. Love the pattern and design, but this is almost identical in style to the Blue Cosmetic Spots Dress that I purchased last month.

Okay, fashionistas, hope you enjoyed this latest roundup. See anything that you like?

  1. I like this coat better! The floral decoration on it seems more Chrissy to me. And crimson tide totally made me think of that time of month! Either way, I think you should definitely go check the coat out in store. You did mention you have too many red coats, I think.

  2. LMAO about that time of the month! I was thinking of the movie, LOL. I do have a red coat, but in a totally different style and it's not embellished like this one. So many decisions, such little money!

  4. Oh no -- I love all of these picks! The Tracy Reese coat is stunning and it seems just your style. I would simply wonder if it is versatile enough to wear on a regular basis? The collar seems like it might be a little constricting (but then, I get claustrophobic easily, so...)

  5. Jamie, that is a concern of mine, as well. The TR coat would definitely not be an "every day" coat. As for the collar, I have another TR coat with a similar collar, and I can deal with it, although I also hate turtlenecks and stuff like that. Hmmm, decisions, decisions...

  8. I love all of the items you posted!!! Tracy Reese is so great with patterns and special details.
I am all for red, it is definitely a notice me kind of color. That's one color that is lacking in my wardrobe.
I love this coat, but considering how much more wear you could get out of the Soia & Kyo coat, I say go for that one.

  9. I was just admiring that coat last night!! I think you should get it, it is sooo you :)

Did you ever get your blue cosmetics spots dress btw? I remember you said in the comments that they called you about a delay at the factory!

  13. Chrissy,

I like the red coat, but it seems a little too busy with different details. I have 2 red coats. A Wool Paddington and Anthro's CherryVanilla Trench by Leifsdottir. I love the Phlox and Coral Tracey Reese from Anthro but I question the versatility. Tonight the Cream Confection Coat in Cream from Anthro will arrive. Then yesterday I saw the most recent Tracy Reese Coat on Anthro. The Shoelace Collar Coat For a split second I thought about returning the unworn Phlox and Coral for this one. Then I remembered an extra November paycheck. Yeah!

Can't wait to see your Soia and Kyo in Blue.

  14. Laura, this may sound sick, but I think I'm going to get them both! They are both amazing in different ways. I will buy the TR first, as it's likely to sell out, and then grab the S&K coat in November. I also have that extra paycheck.:)

I love the concept of the Shoelace Collar Coat, as well, but I don't love the color of the coat, at least for my complexion.

  15. I saw that velvet dress on the site and fell in love, too! I hope it makes it to sale. The only thing is that I'm not sure how much wear I would get out of it outside of the holiday season. But it is spectacular.

  17. I know I'm late commenting on this post, but I LOVE this color, and I think I can wear it, too. I love it all, but especially the coat and the velvet dress. I would get that red coat for sure if you are considering it.
