Forever 21 Purchase - Quick Pics

Hey, girls, just dropping in to say hello! Finally digging out of all this snow here in the Big Apple. I had to go back to work today, which I wasn't too thrilled about. It was nice having a couple of days off following the Christmas holiday, but alas, all good things must come to an end.

I wanted to wear something extra pretty today to perk up my mood, so I decided to break out one of my most recent clothing purchases. I first saw this skirt (which has since sold out online) on Kim over at Anthroholic, and it looked so cute on her that I HAD to have it for myself. Really, very, very pretty, and I could not get over the fact that this was a) under $20 and b) from Forever 21!!! I'm so used to their hoochie little skirts that barely cover one's behind. I swear, I haven't purchased a skirt from that store in quite some time, as the clothing definitely isn't work or age appropriate, in my opinion.

I paired this little beauty with an old blouse from Beyonce's House of Dereon line and a beautiful vintage necklace. I am drawing a blank as to where I got these adorable shoes, but I was really happy with my ensemble and it made me feel just a little bit better about having to trudge through snow and slush into the office once again.

Hope you're all having a great week and I'll be back soon to discuss more purchases!:)

  1. That outfit is BEAUTIFUL. It looks like each piece was handpicked by a stylist. Its just so perfect! A similar outfit was in Instyle magazine a couple months back. Your outfit looks sooo pretty! Still can't believe the skirt was at F21.

  2. I am dying to know if you decided on a Mackage! That skirt is beautiful...and could your waist be any teenier?

  5. Love the cut of that skirt and blouse together! I've been pretty good at avoiding the quick fix of F21, but they screw up and make some great pieces from time to time! And now a massive one just opened near work...eeps. I love their silk tops...

  6. Thanks for the feedback, girls!:) Glad you enjoyed this look. Wasn't sure what to pair with this skirt at first, but this is one of my favorite outfits to date.

Kate, I just came back from Mackage tonight! I tried on the coat that you bought, and I loved the cut and color, but fear it may be a bit too trendy and not warm enough for my taste. I also tried on the Jamie coat (see my earlier post), but hated that one. I felt too goth in it, as it had a weird cut.

I LOVED the camel Leigh coat, though, and intend to pick it up tomorrow!:)
