New Dress Love

Sigh, I just had to share my latest lust-worthy fashion find. Once again, this beauty is from ModCloth.com. I've had pretty good luck in ordering from this store, so I'm REALLY tempted to pull the trigger on this vintage-inspired lace beauty. Wouldn't it be gorgeous for the holidays?

Well-Mannered Minx Dress

At $189, it's a bit pricey and I'm not sure how much daily use this could get. What do you think,
do you love it? Should I fork over the dough for this?

  1. I just browsed through modcloth tonight for a blog post myself! I love black lace. Super cute!

  2. I agree...Lust-worthy! It's just so pretty, but it seems strange that a Mod-Cloth dress would cost more than one from Anthro, doesn't it? Still, it's tempting!

  3. Kristina, I agree, the price is kind of out of control. That's what's holding me back, especially since I can't exactly wear this to the office, LOL.

  6. Like yourself, I've been lusting after this dress for some time now. I'm flipping and flopping between this black lace number and the Anthro Spinning Lace Dress. Although I have no where to wear either one of these dresses to this holiday season, I am intending to wear them to work - whichever one I get that is. Personally, I think that I'll be able to wear the black lace one to the office more than I would the Creamish-Grey Anthro one. To make it more office-wear, I would wear it with a shorter-style black cardigan, opaque black tights and a pair of black high-heeled mary janes. Do you think styling it this way would work for you for work? Mind you, I'm in the media-industry - and maybe that's why I can get away with it???

Love to hear your thoughts on this. :)

  8. Sally, I will go check that site out now!

Crew Girl, I DEFINITELY think that could work in the office, particularly since you work in media. When I worked for an ad agency, I wore whatever the hell I wanted. Now I'm at a very conservative place, but you know what, I don't care! I would totally rock that look.:)

    Mikaela, I'm soooooooooooooo tempted!!!!!

  9. If you have a holiday party or specific occasion in mind, I'd just go for it! If not, maybe wait it out to find something equally lovely on sale somewhere. ModCloth's price points get a bit high for me considering they're not a unified brand that I can trust on quality and fit.

  10. Hi Chrissy,

Just wanted to let you know that I've just ordered the dress from myshape.com. The dress is available for $182 and with the coupon code (which, btw, expires at midnight tonight)- midweek30 - brings this dress down to $127.40. Shipping is $7.95. I also sent you a $25 coupon. Don't know if you can use the coupon with this dress as well but thought you might like it for the future. At the cheaper price, you'll surely be ROCKIN' in this dress!!! I know I couldn't say NO at this price!

  11. This dress is super gorgeous. It is quite pricey though, but might be worth the investment. It's black, so would go with anything, and you could definitely wear it more than once. If it were me, I would order it, and then just return if I didn't fall in love with it in person.
