Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well. Mondays are always so tough for me...I just want the weekend to continue indefinitely!

That being said, I needed to put myself in a better mood this morning, so I headed over to my favorite site...why, Anthropologie, of course!!! Some new items appeared online today, but this one...WOWZA!!! What a gorgeous little skirt!!!

It's the latest offering from Lil, the Openwork Vines Skirt, a gorgeous, lacy little number that is definitely becoming part of my closet in the very near future!!!

This skirt helps erase my disappointment over another item that I was lusting after...the Vanilla Bean top. I tried it on in the store recently (camera battery died, so no photo to share) and couldn't believe how flimsy and sheer it fell off my shoulders, too, so even the fit was off, not to mention the weird elastic around the waist that other reviewers have mentioned.

I'm excited to see what Tuesday's sale has to offer...if any of you score some great deals, feel free to shoot me an email and share the details!!!

  1. Hi Chrissy. I want this skirt, too! I hope my store gets it soon (and in my size, they rarely carry a 14, but if they at least get it I can order from store with free shipping). I have the Vanilla Bean top being delivered today and I am already bracing myself for disappointment based on Roxy's and your reviews.

  2. As soon as I saw this skirt today I knew it MUST be mine!! Someday. :)

  3. Jacquelyn, the Vanilla Bean top may work better for you...I just thought it was a lot flimsier than it appeared online. Also, I have super narrow shoulders, so anything with a wide neckline like that tends to hang off of me.
Let me know how it works for you, and be prepared to wear a cami underneath.

  4. It was a no-go for me on the Vanilla Bean Top. The elastic band was kind of awkward and the sash was worthless, in my opinion. Back it goes!

I think the new skirt is really pretty, but I think I may besized out of it. I have hips and I think this seems kind of like a pencil, so unless it is cut really well it may not work for my size 14 self.
